A Special Wedding Day with Me To You

There is so much that goes into making a wedding day perfect and special.  Something you are both happy with that leaves you with memories to treasure for a lifetime, for your life together.  Having just come down of the newlywed cloud, I’ve been looking at the things that made the day special (other than my husband of course), and I can’t deny the touch of magic that was sprinkled by the gorgeous Me To You wedding range. From the little sucker featuring two Me To You bears in love, holding a Just Married sign, which we displayed proudly in […]

THE Wedding: The Dress The Hair The Shoes – How to build a Disabled Bride

The Dress   Has been especially made for me – not only for my size and shape, but taking into account that I will be sat down for a good portion of the day.  Choosing a tea length dress has meant I haven’t had to take into account trains snagging on wheels etc.  It will of course look miles better on me than it does in the stunning model above.       The Hat   Every bride needs to think carefully about what she’s doing with her hair.  Clips, fascinators or tumbling curls are all for the taking.  For […]

I’m not sure why but it’s easier to write about my chronic health issues, and my mental  health issues, when I’m writing it for someone else! Firstly, I understand if you think this post might not be relevant […]

Me and you: me and J – how it all started

As regular readers will know, I am marrying the man of my dreams in August of this year.  Half of me can’t wait, and half of me is scared stiff.  Both of us are fairly quiet introverted people who don’t like the spotlight, so a wedding kind of goes against the grain a little.  What trumps that is that we love each other to bits and want to get married, so we’ve both decided to suck it up, so to speak. When I saw the Me and You linky over at Tigerlilly Quinn, I knew it was the perfect opportunity […]

My wedding palette: Pantone colour of the year – Radiant Orchid

So as you guys are probably sick of hearing, J and I are getting married in August 2014.  As part of my wedding planning so far, I stumbled across the phenomena of  ‘the wedding theme’.  It can be an actual theme, such as Halloween or princess chic, or a single colour or palette.  Essentially, it is there to bring the wedding together.  We decided actually based on my selection of wedding dress that we were going to be going with ‘purples’ and my subsequent purchases of table covers, favour bags, decorations etc have all fit in with that. As ‘purples’ […]
