We are experiencing technical difficulties – and completely subsumed by Netflix

Happy Thursday lovelies!  As the title would suggest, it’s all going technologically wrong (and a little bit right) in the Kuhn household.  That’s my married name, and I know it’s cheating to use if before I get married, but really, wouldn’t you want to lose a surname like Wombwell as quick as possible?  I know both are hard to pronounce, and both need spelling out over the phone, but at least I’m losing a few letters.  So, what’s been going on in the K-U-H-N (pronounced queue-eN) household… My netbook had bottomed out I usually use a netbook for surfing and […]

Guest Post: my life as an expat frugalista by yaya duran

Hello Around and Upside Down readers, my name is Yaya and I have a wee lil blog called Expat Frugalista that documents my journey as an expat, one on a budget at that! For those with […]

I am a technological dinosaur!

Hear me roar! Well, last night I tried – ultimately unsuccessfully, to type up a blog post from my smart phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega – which is my personal ultimate accessory, and I am practically attached to it. It’s really quite big, so is great for playing games, browsing blogs, pinterest etc – so I use it to wind down at bedtime, or to amuse myself during periods of insomnia without actually having to leave the comfort of my bed. The fatal flaw however, at least for me, is that I cannot type up blocks of text […]
