Spring has sprung: Goodbye February Hello March – Hello Sun! – fun days out #motivationalmonday

For me, spring is an opportunity to get outside.  I love looking at pics of others having muddy welly splashing adventures, but that’s just not possible or us, as I’d either sink or short circuit. This weekend was the first time this year that I really felt spring was on it’s way, and we had a lovely day out to celebrate! The Spinnaker Tower is the biggest landmark at Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth, where we started our day.  It was supposed to be built for the Millennium, but did not open till October 2005.  We did go up to […]

Visit to Porchester castle: what’s the story?

In around 2006 (pre wheelchair) we used to take regular walks around Porchester castle.  I personally am fascinated by the architecture, but the children (then around 4 and 7) found lots of other things perks to exploring an old building Like finding hidey-holes to sit in, and pose for mummy’s pictures Mummy liked the old-fashioned cobbles, and walking along the sea-front Where we got to look at the posh boats Or the plants and bugs It was a clear day, so we got a great view over the water, and could see the Spinnaker Tower.
