Rock Face Men’s Body & Skincare Range: A Mans Perspective – Male Grooming Guest Post

About a month ago, Vicky presented me with a big bundle of shower gels and things.  I know she’s always blogging about one product or another for girls, so I kind of understood, especially when the camera came out.  After making sure she wouldn’t be posting any pictures of me in the shower I agreed to give them a try. My first impressions were good.  I could see they were products for blokes, and none of them were too unusual.  I’m a typical man who doesn’t really use alot of different things in the bathroom, but shower gels, body sprays […]

Product review: Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with Color Alert Technology #triedandtested

With a plethora of health problems myself, and a fiance with hypertension, I was very keen to try the Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series Digital Blood Pressure Monitor*.  My blood pressure has always been pretty good, especially for a fat lass, but when I am in inpatient in hospital (which happens more often than I would like) they are pretty obsessed with the readings – which are pretty much all Greek to me.  Enter the CardioTech Premium Series: What really stood out for me with this product, aside from how easy it was to use, was the display.  I know that my […]

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Ruben: books that motivate me – 2014 blogger challenge

January has been and gone, and we are still going strong.  The gorgeous group of girls (and boys) participating the the 2014 blogger challenge have smashed both of our topics so far, and I feel good about our third topic – books.  Who can fail to get excited about books? I wanted to share with you a book that I have read over and over again, because each time I do it motivates me.  Gretchen Ruben has such an infectious fervour for her subject, I just can’t help but get juiced with each read.  Here’s a little about the book: […]

That’s the way love Goats: Delamere Dairy Goats Cheese – product review

I was recently very lucky to receive some wonderful products from Delamere Dairy, in the form of some lovely goats cheese.  I’m a real lover of more traditional goats cheeses myself, but what really excited me with this range was how family and child friendly the cheeses seemed to be.  I wasn’t disappointed! Medium hard cheese Plain log Spreadable The hard cheese was scrummy – and I used it just the way you would any other cheese.  We baked pizzas topped with grated hard cheese, and I topped my pasta and meatballs with it too.  The plain log is more […]

Product review: Nivea in shower body lotion for dry skin

Like alot of women, I like to take care of myself as far as possible, but if there’s a chance to cut corners and save time I will.  If I can condense my beauty routine by a step or two, and skill get great results, I’m a very happy bunny.  I was both confused and excited when I heard about the Nivea in shower moisturiser.  I loved the idea of being able to slap lotion on my body in a fairly slap dash manner, and simply rinse off.  No sticky skin that needs to dry before you try and wrestle […]

Product review Jelly Pong Pong shadow/liner in bronze

Novembers present to myself was Love Me beauty box, and it really was Happy November to Me.  When you’re a grown up and you’ve earned your stripes (as have I, with proper tiger belly), you don’t have to wait for Christmas to treat yourself!  My partner is withholding my Santa presents till Christmas day (meanie) – so what’s a girl to do? One of the products in my chosen box was a chunky shadow/liner crayon from Jelly Pong Pong in bronze.  I have been experimenting with brown liner on my lower lashes, so this was a welcome find.  It really […]
