OOTD pinup girl plus size citrus splendour

Todays OOTD is a little slice of heaven in what’s been a pretty wet August so far.  This fresh and fabulous dress pretty much speaks for itself, so without any further ado: The skirt is beautifully full, I didn’t even need a petticoat underneath for a stunningly fanned skirt which completely covered the chair I was sitting on.  Even though we had sun when I took this pic, I still took precautions with a cute brolly.  Really, I just love accessories.  The accessories I wore with this dress really are good enough to eat.  My hair is part home grown, […]

OOTD paisley waterfall dress – plus size fashion

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to a blogger evening at the Taking Shape and Hotter store in Kingston.  After an amazing time playing ‘pretty woman’ in the spacious, wheelchair friendly changing rooms in Taking Shape, I selected this fabulous outfit. Plus size fashion has never looked so good!  It was then on to the Hotter shoes store to find a pair of shoes to compliment it.  I really was spoiled for choice!   I tried on lots of shoes in Hotter.  The great thing about their shoes it that even the ones with heels […]

Wear it For Autism Fashion Show from Anna Kennedy OBE: Fashion Focus

Picture the most glamorous catwalk you have even seen, inside the prestigious Millennium Hotel in Knightsbridge.  Add stars, dancers, music and the most inspirational stories you have ever heard (along with some of the more inspirational people you have ever seen) and you have the Wear it For Autism (WIFA) fashion show – the brainchild of Anna Kennedy OBE.  Anna herself is perhaps one of the most warm and personable people you could wish to meet, along with being funny, talented and a stone cold fox.  Believe me, the photos speak for themselves. Anna is pictured here with fashion stylist to […]

#OOTD Evening Glamour With Ann Harvey for Bon Marche and Elvi

When I saw this Ann Harvey Georgette dress and bolero, I thought instant glamour! And that was just what I created with look number 1.  The beautiful fall of the dress was comfortable and super flattering for a wheelchair based look.  Whether you’re a wheelchair user or not, I know you girls can appreciate that your outfit choice would be made that much more difficult if you had to factor on sitting down all night.  Some of the beautiful couture I saw at this event was so stunning, but so styled out I am surprised the girls wearing could […]

Wheelchair fashion: casual cream slouch jacket and monochrome – lovely layers and amazing accessories #OOTD

Love New York Tee from Pink Clove – £4   //  Cream slouch jacket from Asos – £25  //  Monochrome peg trousers from Asos – £11  //  Monochrome print infinity scarf from Dorothy Perkins – £5  //  Biker boots from Asos – £25 This is ‘phase one’ of the capsule wardrobe I talked about in last weeks ‘What I Wore Wednesday’ post, so I’m a little out of sync and repeating items two weeks in a row.  I won’t apologise for that as these trousers are so fine!  I have teamed them in this look with a gorgeous New York […]

#OOTD – cable knit jumper and bold printed skirt // spring styles and statement jewelry

Longline cable jumper – New Look  //  Long chevron skirt – M&Co  //  Statement Brooch – Topshop I’m bringing back some old favourites this week in an outfit that just worked so well.  I’m wearing a plain tee underneath, but I didn’t take the jumper off all day, and I tend to run hot.  It was perfect for the sort of in-between weather we are getting right now.  We’re starting to see the sun, but it’s still cold.  I personally prefer short sleeves.  What I hope this outfit shows is how important the placing if the hemlines can be to […]

What I wore Wednesday: #OOTD wheelchair fashion – simple handkerchief hem bold prints and metallics

Woot for wheelchair fashion – and what I wore Wednesday!  Could that sentence be more alliterative? (said in the manner of Chandler from Friends) Tunic style handkerchief hem top – £5 from the Factory Shop //  black leggings – widely available  //  black ballet shoes – £3 from Sports Direct  //  sequin scarf 2 for £5 offer from local market Yes, it really is a full outfit including shoes and accessories for less than £15!!  I tend to by my leggings at TU at Sainsburies – more than anything because it is my local supermarket.  They come in various colours […]
