#NOTD 2true Baby I Love You – Pretty in Pink Multi Manicure

Thumb Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Cherry Up  //  Index finger 2true fast dry colour quick nail polish shade 30  //  Middle finger 2true salon shine pro nail polish in Sienna  //  Ring finger 2true fast dry colour quick nail polish shade 22  //  Little finger 2true fast dry colour quick nail polish shade 24 Okay, so I cheated a little with the Sally Hansen polish, but I wanted to go full on pink.  The 2true polish is really inexpensive, starting at just £1.99 each and currently on 3 for 2 in Superdrug.  The finish isn’t the best I’ve used, but […]

#NOTD Hot Pink Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure and O.P.I Silver Shatter Topcoat

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Cherry Up This was my first time using this particular varnish.  I am a huge fan of Sally Hansen products, especially the topcoats, so I was keen to try it. It is a glossy, hard wearing polish that I would most certainly buy again, though I love this colour. One is several bargain picks in a Poundland haul recently was O.P.I shatter topcoat.  You can look at paying around £12 for one of these at full price, so quite a saving. I found I had to apply one really thick coat for a decent […]

#NOTD Holiday Nails Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry & Essie No Place Like Chrome | Blue and Silver Mani

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry  //  Essie Polish No Place Like Chrome I love Barry M.  For £2.99-£3.99 you can nab a polish from their range, which is ever changing with current trends. Cute new colours are always on the menu as well as different textures and finishes.  This Gelly Nail Paint is designed for high shine, to look like a gel mani without all the faff and UV lights.  Although it doesn’t wear like a gel mani, I love the high shine and consistency.  It’s very easy to apply, which I’m assuming is something to […]

#NOTD grey silver white // Barry M OPI CK Headline Colours – quirky work look

Headline colours – Quicksand  //  Barry M Matte Mocha 333  //  CK – Silvivor  //  OPI silver shatter topcoat  //  Barry M Matte White 66 I decided to go for broke with this mani, and pulled out five different products to create this look.  Inspired by a pic on Pinterest, I wanted a grey and silver look.  The Headline Colours polish I originally pulled out went on as more of a taupe, so I balanced it with a gorgeous matt taupe by Barry M.  It is a little mix and match, and I have clipped my nails short again, but […]

Product review: the first and the original Revolution by piCture pOlish – glitter base has arrived

When I first heard about this product just before Christmas, I was so excited and just couldn’t wait to get my hands on some.  Jane over at British Beauty Blogger made a video of 2014 trend on Youtube which was excellent (check it out on the Youtube link through her blog).  One of her predictions, which was swiftly followed by a blog post about the brand new product, was for a nail polish base specially made for glitter polish – and here it is! Bought from Sally Magpies (who’s shop I have recently reviewed), this product is currently out of […]

Product review: Collection 2000 Nail Smash Top Coat – 2 White Smash

Hello again my fabulous friends.  I hope you all have straining waistbands, loads of new swag, and possibly a lingering hangover.  All signs of a Christmas well spent.  I know I’ve eaten way to much, but if you can’t stuff your face at Christmas, when can you.  Our Christmas was a little….unconventional, but will post about that later in the week.  For now, nails nails nails, as everything is better with a pop of luscious colour. I first tried out the Collection 2000 Nail Smash Top Coat approximately a week ago (post here).  I wasn’t sure about the consistency due […]

NOTD: festive Christmas glitter nails – red and green

I have been inspired by many of my blogging friends to take my nails in hand, so to speak.  My nails were a bit of a state and in desperate need of revamping, so I thought I’d go for a festive feel.  My hands did have other ideas when I created this look, as my hand tremors were very bad, so instead of nail art per se, I decided to go mad with colour and glitter, and go for a gently contrasting look. I used Superdrugs own base coat & ridge filler, and top coat – both currently two for […]

Shopping haul: focus on Borjois – a free gift worth having

So, as you all know, I have been hitting the high street, and purchasing enough girly lovelyness to be in a serious pocket money deficit.  Oh well, such is life – and there are some things a girl’s just gotta have. I love Borjois as a makeup brand.  On my personal current must ‘must purchase as soon as humanly possible’ list, alongside infinity scarves, and anything in the colour mint, resides the entry ‘anything Borjois’.  Imagine my joy when I spotted an offer in Boots.  Spend £15 and get a free gift.  ‘Yeah ok’ I thought, ‘this is going to […]

Love me beauty box has arrived

I’m so excited….that I just can’t hide it…I’m about to lose control and I think I like it… Oh yeah! Ok that’s quite enough of that.  I do apologise my dears, but I really am excited to have received my Love Me beauty box, mentioned here earlier in the week. So without further adue, I present my lovely present to me, so I may share my enthusiasm with you all. Apologies for picture quality, I get hand tremors which give most of my photos a ‘soft focus’ type look, which is not what you want when you’re trying to showcase […]
