#EOTD #FOTD Bold proud peacock primed electric eye makeup – purple and turquoise

Excuse my brows – I am aware of the need for an urgent threading, but I just haven’t had the energy of late For the eyes: Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hours eye colour in Turquoise Forever  //  Maybelline Eye Studio Gel liner in Ultra Violet  //  L’Oreal Flutter Midnight Mascara in Midnight Purple I really did love this look, as it incorporated many products that I was dying to try.  In all honesty I could have gone for black mascara and liner, but the purple did have a subtle difference.  The turquoise shadow really popped.  This is one of my […]

EOTD: eyes of the day – coloured eyeliner MUA product review

I am jusr having the most fun right now playing with different eye looks and different products.  This turquoise eye look was inspired by my last OOTD, in which I was sporting a turquoise cardigan. This MUA intense colour eye pencil was purchased from Superdrug for just £1.  For this reason, and my current adoration of coloured eyeliner, I got one in each colour.  This particular one is in turquoise. The look itself actually worked really well.  I used: Borjois Liner Pinceau in Black Rimmel eye primer MUA turquoise intense colour eye pencil Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in blackest black […]

Product review: Maybelline Master Kajal Khol liner – Lapis Blue and Oriental Gold

I’ve been on what might be termed an ‘eyeliner binge’ of late.  I just can’t get enough of them, and the different looks they can create.  What can I say, I’m sure there are worse addictions than eye makeup, but this is bordering on obsession. I love Maybelline as a brand, so when I saw that they a) had a new product and b) it was for your eyes, I got very excited and brandished my credit card at the poor sales assistant before you could say ‘would you like mascara with that’? (Answer – of course!) Master Kajal from […]

Shopping haul: focus on Borjois – a free gift worth having

So, as you all know, I have been hitting the high street, and purchasing enough girly lovelyness to be in a serious pocket money deficit.  Oh well, such is life – and there are some things a girl’s just gotta have. I love Borjois as a makeup brand.  On my personal current must ‘must purchase as soon as humanly possible’ list, alongside infinity scarves, and anything in the colour mint, resides the entry ‘anything Borjois’.  Imagine my joy when I spotted an offer in Boots.  Spend £15 and get a free gift.  ‘Yeah ok’ I thought, ‘this is going to […]

Recreate the look: Pinterest eyes – coloured waterline

Most nights between the hours of 10pm and the wee small hours of the next day, I can be found surfing You Tube, blogs, and Pinterest for inspiration.  I love having a compendium of things I could be doing, even if I sometimes don’t have the energy to do it.  My makeup board on Pinterest has recently been heaving with gorgeous eye ideas.  There are so many colours and effects to explore, the possibilities are endless.  I love spotting a look, shopping for it if need be, and attempting to recreate it. I have a far more unpractised hand than […]

Product review Jelly Pong Pong shadow/liner in bronze

Novembers present to myself was Love Me beauty box, and it really was Happy November to Me.  When you’re a grown up and you’ve earned your stripes (as have I, with proper tiger belly), you don’t have to wait for Christmas to treat yourself!  My partner is withholding my Santa presents till Christmas day (meanie) – so what’s a girl to do? One of the products in my chosen box was a chunky shadow/liner crayon from Jelly Pong Pong in bronze.  I have been experimenting with brown liner on my lower lashes, so this was a welcome find.  It really […]
