Different days out for wheelchair users

As a wheelchair user it’s easy to think that certain places are off limits due to steps, uneven surfaces and other such obstacles.  While some locations, such as beaches, will almost always need specialist equipment to access, do not be so quick to dismiss other places to visit due to access issues.  My advice is to research and to take venues on a case by case basis.  If you want to go somewhere, Google it and see how easy it would be for you to access.  Here is some advice on places to visit that you may have previously thought […]

Day Out at Bletchley Park: Code Cracking and Computer Fun

After a long car drive to Bletchley Park, the first vehicle we came across was actually a vintage motorcycle.  The codes that were brought to the code cracking experts Bletchley park on moterbikes like this one were delivered by women during world war two. The McAfee exhibit in the museum was all about codes and computers today.  It was quite scary to read just how much information is stored about each of us online. Spring has sprung: Goodbye February Hello March – Hello Sun! – fun days out #motivationalmonday

For me, spring is an opportunity to get outside.  I love looking at pics of others having muddy welly splashing adventures, but that’s just not possible or us, as I’d either sink or short circuit. This weekend was the first time this year that I really felt spring was on it’s way, and we had a lovely day out to celebrate!
