I’m going to Britmums Live 2015

After kicking an unsuccessful post about my recent holiday to the kerb, I thought I’d take a while to get back into the blogging spirit and get ready for Britmums which is just over a week away!  Excited much? Name Vicky Kuhn Disabled, plus size fashionista who likes to look her best – when she isn’t in bed drinking tea and watching Penny Dreadful in her nightie. Blog Around and Upside Down I am not a Mummy blogger but I am a blogging Mummy.  Write mostly about fashion and beauty, but will try my hand at most anything. Twitter ID […]

Bloggers Guide: The Blog/Life Balance

The blog/life balance is something every blogger will be familiar with.  Whether your life is full of toddlers and potty training or spouses that are sick of talking to you from behind a laptop, there will have been a point where the two collide.  A blogger can spend so much time blogging they have nothing to blog about (and a grumpy spouse) or so much time dealing with life issues (good, bad or indifferent) that you neglect your blog. As someone who also struggles to maintain a healthy life/blog balance, here is a basic bloggers guide to trying to get (and […]

I doubt that anyone reading this will not know about Britmums live and has probably heard so much about it. To that end I will make this short and sweet, but could not leave it unmarked.     This is me in a nutshell, so is anyone saw the above person at the above location, it was meeeee!  A retrospective hello to you!  Because that was the thing that struck me most about what was my first ever blogging conference, I spent the whole time there talking with people who I felt like I knew already after having read their […]

2013 Year In Review Q&A

I love a good tag, and I think this has to be my favourite so far.  In the nearly two months I’ve been blogging (that would so weird – it feels like I’ve been blogging forever – in a good way), I have met some lovely bloggers and become an avid reader of some superb blogs.  This tag is kind of a salute to blogging, and 2013, which both deserve a special mention. I was tagged by the lovely Erika in this year in review post, which was originally started by Kerry.  Thank you both x The rules are pretty […]

2014 blogger challenge

With the air full of Christmas spirit and party season excitement, we know 2014 can’t be far away.  I know, where does the time go? I’m totally in love with blogging right now – it’s all I want to do.  So when I saw fellow bloggers getting on board with with 2014 blogger challenge, I wondered what it was. The idea is, in a nutshell, that participating bloggers will be send a topic twice a month to blog about.  There are bloggers from all different genres involved in this challenge, so it might be something we are used to blogging […]

Walking sticks just got funky!

I know what you’re thinking – that has to be an oxymoron.  Canes are what your grandad uses and pins little metal badges to. Not anymore – sticks just got 21st century! Check out this post by fellow bloggers over at Ablieze Off the Wall Disability and Disabled blog I only use sticks inside – but these are so gorgeous!  I think I would have to start inviting more people over for coffee just to show off my sticks – especially if I can get one to coordinate with my wardrobe favourites My current sticks are like this: They are […]

I am a technological dinosaur!

Hear me roar! Well, last night I tried – ultimately unsuccessfully, to type up a blog post from my smart phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega – which is my personal ultimate accessory, and I am practically attached to it. It’s really quite big, so is great for playing games, browsing blogs, pinterest etc – so I use it to wind down at bedtime, or to amuse myself during periods of insomnia without actually having to leave the comfort of my bed. The fatal flaw however, at least for me, is that I cannot type up blocks of text […]
