Wear it For Autism Fashion Show from Anna Kennedy OBE: Fashion Focus

Picture the most glamorous catwalk you have even seen, inside the prestigious Millennium Hotel in Knightsbridge.  Add stars, dancers, music and the most inspirational stories you have ever heard (along with some of the more inspirational people you have ever seen) and you have the Wear it For Autism (WIFA) fashion show – the brainchild of Anna Kennedy OBE.  Anna herself is perhaps one of the most warm and personable people you could wish to meet, along with being funny, talented and a stone cold fox.  Believe me, the photos speak for themselves. Anna is pictured here with fashion stylist to […]

#OOTD Evening Glamour With Ann Harvey for Bon Marche and Elvi

When I saw this Ann Harvey Georgette dress and bolero, I thought instant glamour! And that was just what I created with look number 1.  The beautiful fall of the dress was comfortable and super flattering for a wheelchair based look.  Whether you’re a wheelchair user or not, I know you girls can appreciate that your outfit choice would be made that much more difficult if you had to factor on sitting down all night.  Some of the beautiful couture I saw at this event was so stunning, but so styled out I am surprised the girls wearing could […]

What’s in my bag? – Trip to London ‘where is my Oystercard’?

I’ve been running back and forth from London quite a bit lately, and I would just be lost without certain planning and travel essentials.  This leads me to a travel edition of ‘what’s in my bag’? Before I even loaded my bag – I needed to plan.  What would I need, and how could I make getting from here to there as easy as possible? My gorgeous pink leather organiser purse from Julie Slater and Son is just perfect for travel.  It has plenty of pockets for cards and tickets, notes and change for the bus.  I don’t leave home […]

Mothers Day Gift Guide: Under £10 #mothersday

With Mothers Days just over a week away I wanted to share some of my favourite potential purchases to suit every pocket. This installment is for gifts under a tenner. 1.  Scented Candle From Amphora Aromatics in Various Scents – £6.24 I adore these candles with a passion. They vary in price depending on scent, but are all very reasonable.  Despite the mini price tag they burn and smell like a luxury brand, and burn for 40 full hours! 2.  Travel Card Holder from Julie Slater and Son – £5 A cute and funky design that you’ll want to keep […]

Wheelchair fashion: casual cream slouch jacket and monochrome – lovely layers and amazing accessories #OOTD

Love New York Tee from Pink Clove – £4   //  Cream slouch jacket from Asos – £25  //  Monochrome peg trousers from Asos – £11  //  Monochrome print infinity scarf from Dorothy Perkins – £5  //  Biker boots from Asos – £25 This is ‘phase one’ of the capsule wardrobe I talked about in last weeks ‘What I Wore Wednesday’ post, so I’m a little out of sync and repeating items two weeks in a row.  I won’t apologise for that as these trousers are so fine!  I have teamed them in this look with a gorgeous New York […]

OOTD: wheelchair fashion checked shirt casual wearable grunge black leggings and boots

Checked shirt £5 on sale – Factory Shop //  Black leggings – widely available  //  Black vest top – widely available  //  Rocket Dog Chocolate Slouch boots  //  Chains – Peacocks £4.50 First, my apologies about the picture quality.  It is something I am working on, but my fiancee is no David Bailey.  When the weather improves, OOTD will most definitely move outside in the natural light.  I also have no doubt you will see these pieces again, just because I don’t have hoards of clothes, so pieces tend to re-appear. I have wanted to do the checked shirt […]

High street bargain of the week: Claire’s hair accessories

Me and J went out for a wheel about our local shopping centre yesterday.  I had an awesome time, and have absolutely loads to tell you guys about.  I wanted to post yesterday, but was so pooped after braving the December high street that I fell asleep at 5pm.  I love shopping online, but there is a wonderful physicality and choice that only in person shopping can give.  I can tell you I earned my Hot Choc in Cafe Nero! My first share from my shopping expedition is a fabby bargain from Claire’s.  I know it is hailed as the […]
