With a plethora of health problems myself, and a fiance with hypertension, I was very keen to try the Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series Digital Blood Pressure Monitor*. My blood pressure has always been pretty good, especially for a fat lass, but when I am in inpatient in hospital (which happens more often than I would like) they are pretty obsessed with the readings – which are pretty much all Greek to me. Enter the CardioTech Premium Series:
What really stood out for me with this product, aside from how easy it was to use, was the display. I know that my blood pressure is supposed to be something over something – but I have no idea what either somethings are. With this monitor, it shows you in clear colours (red, amber and green) whether your blood pressure is good, not so good, or needs monitoring more closely (and perhaps a visit to the doctor).
J felt very smug after this reading, as both sections were green. If one reading is cause for concern, and the other is not, the display will split colours. J takes medication for high blood pressure – so in theory his should be okay, but we did see it flash up orange for my Mother and Father In Law (who also have high blood pressure). It’s ease of use was certainly tested by my Mother and Father In Law, who don’t even have a DVD player, but they found it really easy to use too. You simply strap it to your wrist. Press power, press start, and the cuff inflates itself and gives you a reading. It really is that easy.
I would definitely recommend this for anyone with ongoing health problems, especially blood pressure and heart issues, and the elderly. If you’d like to pick one up, just click the link at the top of the article. they are selling on Amazon for £24.95, which I think is pretty reasonable for peace of mind.
