Christmas can be a huge production, before all the fun starts. Between getting the perfect gifts for everyone, making social plans and wrapping up work and home life in time for the festivities, it can be near to impossible to take a little time for yourself. Buying gifts online is certainly one option, and one I take full advantage of myself, but it can feel a little impersonal. Check lists and emails are no substitute for big bags groaning full of gifts. On the other hand, the high street can be an intimidating prospect. For Christmas 2015 I think I’ve finally nailed it, with a delicate balance of shopping online and shopping locally.
Living in Hampshire I am quite spoiled for choice when it comes to venturing out to the shops, but my favourite place to visit this year has been Whitely Shopping Centre. With dozens of well known stores side by side with cute coffee shops, restaurants and even a cinema, I can actually cram a good coffee and some me time while I shop. Here are some of my top picks.
Also with click and collect, you can order exactly what you want before you even leave your home, and know it will be waiting for you at your chosen store when you get there. More time to take in a movie with the family or catch up with friends for a festive meal out and a well deserved glass of vino.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas
