I am so excited and totally getting in the festive spirit with a game of Christmas Tag – woo woo!! I was tagged by Kim over at Northumberland Mam. Her blog is full of great content for parents and non-parents alike, so head over and say hello.
Now to the job in hand…
1. Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I love a the smell of a real tree, but don’t want to be finding needles in the carpet till next July. My fab fibre optic tree does the job nicely.
2. You’re in a coffee shop, it’s December, what do you pick?
Mmmm…something from the Costa winter menu. A salted caramel hot chocolate with whipped cream perhaps.
3. Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
Me and my partner went for colourful teal and magenta decs last year, and think we will stick with them this year. I have several Christmas decs I love so much I keep them up all year round. Good thing I’m not superstitious.
4. Giving or receiving?
I love giving presents, especially when I’ve taken the time to buy or make something really thoughtful. There is no better way to start Christmas day than seeing peoples faces light up when they unwrap their presents. It makes the Christmas shopping crush worthwhile.
5. To mince pie or not to?
Oh gosh yes! Last year I started every day with two iced mince pies and a cup of coffee. As I’m still carrying them on my hips, I think this year I’ll keep it to one.
6. What’s your traditional Christmas lunch?
Turkey, roast potato’s, roast parsnips, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, cabbage and carrots maybe so it’s ‘healthy’ and Christmas pud with lashings of cream for afters.
7. Christmas day fashion
Usually something with sequins, possibly in red. Things that I would never wear all in one outfit except on Christmas day. Anything goes.
8. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
Fairytale Of New York all day long. Though I do have to thank Slade for my usual proclamation of ‘it’s Chriiiiiiiiistmas’ at the top of my lungs.
9. What’s your favourite Christmas film?
My MIL is a Christmas film addict, so I think I have seen every single one ever made. I do think Vince Vaughn is great as Fred Claus, and I love Nicolas Cage in The Family Man.
10. Open presents before or after lunch?
My kids are older now, but when they were younger it was whenever they woke up (after maybe 5am)
Psst, if you’re reading this, you’re tagged too!!!
