When it comes to fashion, you can’t really get more prestigious than the British Fashion Awards. In November 2014 I was lucky enough to be mixing with the likes of Cara Delevingne and Victoria Beckham at the reception, awards ceremony and the after party of the BFA in Londons trendy Soho.
The sole wheelchair user amongst the fashionistas and influencers in attendance, I held my own with J on my arm, wearing the most gorgeous gown from Curvety.
The Viviana Christina really needs to be seen to be believed. From the exquisite neckline to the attention to detail on the entire length of the dress, it simply screams elegance, class and style. It draped perfectly when I was sat in my wheelchair and made me feel every inch the princess (and that was before I found out I had wee’d in the same toilet as Victoria Beckham!)
Ever the gentleman, J was by my side, and we had lots of fun wearing the floral arrangements and working the room. With all these beautiful dresses I have had the opportunity to wear recently, my wheelchair is feeling rather shabby I have to say! I think I am going to have to ‘pimp my ride’ so it doesn’t keep showing me up.
