A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to a blogger evening at the Taking Shape and Hotter store in Kingston. After an amazing time playing ‘pretty woman’ in the spacious, wheelchair friendly changing rooms in Taking Shape, I selected this fabulous outfit. Plus size fashion has never looked so good! It was then on to the Hotter shoes store to find a pair of shoes to compliment it. I really was spoiled for choice!
I tried on lots of shoes in Hotter. The great thing about their shoes it that even the ones with heels are so comfortable to wear. No breaking in needed. Plus you can get a wide fit and the womens shoes go all the way up to a size 9!
There were so many styles I could have chosen, and I was torn between the Donna and Michelle as the both went so well with the dress. In the end I chose the Michelle heels in Navy with T-bar fastening. I knew they’d also go perfectly with a navy evening dress I have, and it can be quite hard to find shoes in navy. Even in this demure style, my regular sizing of standard fit, size 8 fit perfectly.
And the finished look.
I’m also wearing a necklace from Taking Shape. They have a fabulous range of accessories and it was tough to choose, but this necklace also went perfectly with my holiday wardrobe. You might have guessed that I love to try and work some semblance of a capsule wardrobe so that alot of the things I own are mix and match. I have very few things that can only be used for one style.
The cardigan featured here can actually be used to make five different styles and I’ve been styling it out with other outfits from my wardrobe. I’m sure it will be featured in another OOTD soon.
